International Ballet Workshops brings elite ballet teachers to Australia and New Zealand, for workshop tours during the January and July school holidays. Besides providing world-class training and expertise, our guest teachers are also required to bring international opportunities for exceptional students.
"Having your organisation support young Australian and NZ dancers to be exposed to the European style of teaching with great masters is a fantastic opportunity and I would recommend this program to any child that is passionate about ballet." - Leanne, parent, IBW 2015
"Experience of a lifetime! 10/10. Thanks." - Josh, IBW 2015
"I really enjoyed every minute of this workshop. I felt like it has really built my confidence and I would definitely love to do it again!" - Molly, student, IBW 2015
"My daughter told me she loves it and it's the best workshop she has done. Will definitely be happy for her to come again. She has learnt so much and made new friends that share the same passion." - Laree, parent, IBW 2015
What makes IBW so special?
We inspire young dancers to pursue their passion for dance, through once-in-a-lifetime experiences you simply can't find anywhere else in Australasia.
International master teachers
We bring only the very best ballet teachers to Australasia, and they provide honest, expert feedback, raising the local standard and inspiring students and teachers.
Life-changing overseas opportunities
Our international guest are required to bring unique offers for students, including introductions to schools, scholarships, summer schools, private company auditions, competition invitations, performance opportunities and more.
International Ballet Workshops is NOT a dance school
IBW is not a dance school and therefore does not compete in any way with your dance school. We exist to provide enriching experiences to all dance students, and are open and welcoming to students from all schools, no matter which studio is hosting the workshops.
Offers of support, certificates and medals
Each workshop ends with a studio showing and a prize-giving; every student receives a certificate and one student from each level receives a 'Most Outstanding Young Artist' medal. Some pre-professional students will receive offers of support to help launch or explore their ballet careers. Dancers may receive invitations to audition for schools and companies all over the world.
